Myrtle Beach Vacations: Legends in Concert and Oysters in Murrells Inlet

Myrtle Beach Vacations: Legends in Concert and Oysters in Murrells Inlet

I've been on several Myrtle Beach Vacations over the last few years. My wife and I look forward to spending a week on the Grand Strand in South Carolina in June each year.

Last year the most memorable evening of our stay in Myrtle Beach involved dinner and a show. Murrells Inlet is a little fishing village just south of Myrtle Beach. There are a dozen of so fresh seafood restaurants there and most provide a view of the picturesque little bay. My wife and I shared a bucket of roasted oysters and a few soft shell crabs. The fresh baked oysters are an enjoyable experience. They are brought to the table still in the shell. You get a small oyster knife to pry them open with. I like to eat them with a mix of butter, lemon, and hot sauce.

After dinner my wife and I went to see a local show: Legends in Concert. The show lasted about ninety minutes and included performances by four celebrity impersonators – including Elvis. It was a fun time.
